Arrays Supported for Boot Mirroring
4 VERITAS Volume Manager Hardware Notes
For the most up to date list of supported ASLs, you should visit The VERITAS support
site at: http://support.veritas.com, and select “Volume Manager”, “Volume Manager for
UNIX”, and click on “Compatibility”. Enter the details (Product Version and Product
Platform) into the box, and then select “HardWare Compatibility List”.
Note Arrays supported by the DMP feature are a subset of the arrays supported by
VxVM. Other arrays that are not listed in this array list or in the previous list can
only be single path.
Arrays Supported for Boot Mirroring
The following arrays are supported for encapsulation and mirroring:
Sun StorEdge A5x00
Sun StorEdge T3
Sun StorEdge T3+
You will be notified in Tech Notes as more arrays are tested and certified.
Unsupported Array Configurations for Root Encapsulation
VxVM cannot encapsulate the root disk if it has a long name in the format c#t
WWN
d#s#;
for example, c5t2B000060220041D7d0s0, and it is connected through a switch in fabric
mode or it is a device under MPxIO control.
